Welcome to Samantha Helen Counselling

Hi, I’m Sam, an accredited counsellor and clinical supervisor supporting individual adults, couples and professionals. I offer a warm, non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported.

For individuals, I work with people navigating a wide range of emotional and relational challenges. This may include things such as anxiety, low mood, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, or feeling stuck or overwhelmed. Alongside this, I have a particular focus on supporting those living with the lasting effects of difficult early relationships—especially where a parent may have been narcissistic, emotionally unavailable, or inconsistent. These experiences can show up in many ways, including struggles with self-worth, boundaries, people-pleasing, or feeling disconnected from your own needs.

Together, we can gently explore what’s going on for you, helping you to make sense of your experiences and begin to build a more secure and compassionate relationship with yourself.

I work with both neurotypical and neurodivergent couples, with a particular focus on supporting neurodivergent relationships. Many couples experience differences in communication, needs, or ways of understanding one another, which can at times lead to misunderstanding or disconnection. I aim to support you in making sense of these differences in a way that feels respectful, balanced, and supportive for you both.

Alongside counselling, I also offer Clinical Supervision. As a supervisor, I aim to create a space that feels safe, collaborative, and grounded in trust—where you can think openly about your work, reflect honestly, and continue to grow in your practice. I place importance on supporting your independence as a practitioner, while also offering thoughtful challenge, encouragement, and a focus on both your professional development and personal wellbeing.
